The design of the multipurpose hall of the Union of Metallurgists is conceived as a machine housing facilities for meetings, concerts, screenings and temporary exhibitions. Formal references to avant-garde art emphasise the modernity of the union’s activities without falling into nostalgia.

The form of the light fixtures is inspired by the presence of factories in the landscape; they are almost abstract architectural models. As the original murals had deteriorated beyond repair, they were reinterpreted as vector drawings by a contemporary artist, preserving their presence for the public and maintaining a link with the building’s history.

L’amènagement de la salle polyvalente de l’Union des Métallurges est une machine abritant des equipements pour des reunions, des concerts, des projections et des expositions temporaires. Les references formelles à l’art avant-garde soulignent la modernité des actions de syndicat sans tomber dans le passeisme.

La forme des luminaires est inspirée par la presence des usines dans le paysage, ce sont des maquettes presque abstraites.
Les fresques d’origine etant trop abimés , elles ont été reinterpretés en dessin vectoriel par un artiste contemporain, pour les maintenir présentes pour le public et garder le lien avec l’histoire.
