For Design Parade, the studio proposes an interpretation of the interior as a shared territory between architecture and clothing.

The installation brings together vernacular objects collected in Provence, approached as bodies to be dressed. The walls are covered with a trompe-l’œil garment, tailored to the space and shown mid-construction. This hybridisation shifts the perception of the room, confronting the rigidity of wall surfaces with the supple, structural qualities of textile.
Garmenting places particular care on fabrication methods, allowing small discrepancies and imperfections to remain visible as markers of works in progress.

Pour la Design Parade, le studio propose une interprétation de l’intérieur comme territoire partagé entre architecture et vêtement.

La pièce présentée réunit des objets vernaculaires glanés en Provence, envisagés comme des corps à habiller. Les murs sont recouverts d’un trompe-l’œil de vêtement, taillé sur mesure et montré en cours de confection. Cette hybridation transforme la perception de l’espace, et confronte la rigidité des surfaces aux qualités souples et structurelles du textile.
Garmenting accorde une attention particulière aux méthodes de fabrication, laissant visibles les écarts et imperfections qui témoignent d’objets en devenir.
